You’ve gotta hand it to Apple. They know exactly how to market cool. Watching this demo, you’re overwhelmed by the number of features it has, and then you start to wonder, what on earth am I going to do with all this technology?

Everything about this demo is savvy. The know-it-all host, complete with thick framed glasses and black skivvy. The cool way the screen reacts when you pinch, drag, zoom and scroll through your media. Even the music and videos they show in the demonstration are cool: Beck, White Stripes, The Flaming Lips.

It’s an iPod PLUS all these extra features. It seems pretty hard to make your product simple when there are so many functions… I think Apple really needs to work out a clear definition between the iPod Touch and the iPhone, because there seem to be a lot of similarities.

Maybe I’m all doom and gloom, but I’m just wondering: If I buy an iPod touch, will it work with my old iPod accessories? Word on the street is, next gen iPods require new accessories, and forking out that extra money just isn’t cool, Apple…
